For the past seven years, Bolloré Ports has been engaged in a programme to develop Freetown Terminal, for a total investment of 120 million dollars. After two years of extension work, Bolloré Ports has commissioned Freetown Terminal’s new port facilities on August 29, 2018, thus meeting its deadline commitments.
Congo Terminal accelerates its development to achieve operational excellence
Congo Terminal recently signed a licensing deal to implement Navis’ flagship N4 operating system. Following Dakshin Bharat Bridge Terminal (DBGT) in India, Congo Terminal is the second site operated by Bolloré Ports to choose the N4 system. Its implementation will improve the terminal port capacity while reducing operating costs. By increasing its operational efficiency, Congo Terminal aims to increase national traffic and develop transit to the sub-region.
D-365 before the start of the Port of Tema’s commercial operations
Less than a year from its commercial go-live, Cyrille Bolloré, CEO of Bolloré Transport & Logistics, visits the future deep-water port of Tema in order to monitor the work progress. He was accompanied by Philippe Labonne, CEO of Bolloré Ports, Mohamed Samara, CEO of Meridian Port Services (MPS) and other senior executives.
