Owendo Container Terminal handles a record number of containers in connection with the visit of the "turquoise"
On 14 December 2020, the container terminal at the port of Owendo in Gabon set an all-time record by unloading and loading 3,744 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) containers from and onto the container ship “Turquoise”.

ZPMC selected by Bolloré Ports to supply six gantries for the deep-water port of timor-leste
Following a tender procedure, Timor Port S.A., a subsidiary of Bolloré Ports has awarded ZPMC with the contract on the supply of two STS dockside gantries and four RTG yard gantries, which will equip the Tibar Bay deep-water port in Timor-Leste.

Douala International Terminal (DIT), a subsidiary of the APMT and Bolloré groups, welcomes the ruling handed down in its favour by the ICC arbitration tribunal
DIT was forced to turn to the ICC arbitration tribunal under the 2004 concession agreement on the following two points: sharing of parking rights between the Autonomous Port of Douala (APD) and DIT ; preventing DIT from participating in the tender procedure launched in January 2018. On November 13, 2020, the arbitration tribunal recognized the merits of DIT's two claims.

MPS enhancing border security and port gate capacity at Terminal 3
Meridian Port Services Limited (MPS) has procured and installed an additional Container Scanner at MPS Terminal 3 aiming to improve operational efficiency for the port. This investment brings to 6, the total number of Drive-Through Container Scanners installed in the terminal.

Congo Terminal takes delivery of two new yard gantries
Congo Terminal, the concessionary of the container terminal at the Port of Pointe-Noire, has taken delivery of two new RTG yard gantries. With a 40-tonne lifting capacity, the new equipment will boost the container storage capacities of the yards and help to improve flows across all operations.

Abidjan Terminal takes delivery of all-electric towing vehicles
As part of the “Green Terminal” environmental certification programme initiated by Bolloré Ports, Abidjan Terminal, the operator of the container terminal at the Port of Abidjan, has taken delivery of two new all-electric towing vehicles. With the delivery, Abidjan Terminal now has handling machines with zero CO2 emissions and sound pollution.

Benin Terminal takes delivery of two new yard gantries
Benin Terminal, the operator of the Port de Cotonou container terminal, took delivery of two new gantries on 20 September 2020. The new equipment will serve to improve the productivity of Benin Terminal, boost the country’s competitiveness and bolster trade in West Africa.

Kribi Conteneurs Terminal welcomes the direct Asia-Africa line
Kribi Conteneurs Terminal (KCT) welcomed the CMA CGM Cendrillon ship on 17 August 2020. Measuring 334 metres long and with a capacity of 8,645 TEUs, the vessel inaugurated the direct Asia-Africa (ASAF) line at the Kribi deep-water port.

Benin Terminal welcomes a 300 m container ship for the first time ever
On 18 July 2020, Benin Terminal welcomed the "CCNI ARAUCO", the largest ship to have ever berthed at Cotonou. This 300-metre long, MAERSK ship weighing over 100,062 tonnes, sailing under the Hong Kong flag, berthed at Benin Terminal's berth No. 10.

Conakry Terminal commissions the Kagbelen inland container depot aimed at boosting the competitiveness of the guinean supply chain
Conakry Terminal, a subsidiary of Bolloré Ports and operator of the container terminal at the Port of Conakry, officially commissioned the Kagbelen inland container depot located in the municipality of Dubréka, 35 km from the Guinean capital. Covering a surface area of 30 hectares, the Kagbelen inland container depot has a specially laid out 5-hectare area with a storage capacity of 2,000 vehicles. As a priority, it stores vehicles transiting to Mali, as well as vehicles not delivered after parking for ten days at the port terminal premises.

Bolloré Ports rolls out electronic payment solutions at Dakar Terminal
As part of the measures introduced to address Covid-19, Bolloré Ports is stepping up the implementation of electronic payment solutions at Dakar Terminal, the operator of the Ro-Ro terminal in the Senegalese capital. The IES web portal rolled out by Bolloré Ports enables the payment of invoices via the TouchPay platform by InTouch, which aggregates payment means (Orange Money, FreeMoney, YUP, MasterCard and VISA) to limit physical interaction, reduce cash payments and save time by simplifying the customer journey.
